Memoir '44 Fans 2021 Survey

Welcome to the second edition of the Memoir '44 Fans Annual Survey! After last year’s huge adherence and success, we are redoing the Survey this year, bringing along several suggestions brought by participants. This is meant to be a quick way to get some feedback from our forum users and the broader Memoir 44 Community. If you come here often but don’t have an account yet, this is a great time to create one to voice out what you’d like to see. Aside from the usual username/password account you can also log in with your Facebook or Google account.

Welcome to the Forum! Wow, that’s so crazy, because I first heard about Ticket to Ride inside the panflet that came in my Memoir 44 box

In any case, I’m glad you found out about Memoir!

I think there should be some options concerning solitaire play. That makes up most of what i do!
Perhaps it would also be interesting to learn what kind of customization people do?

Welcome to the forum Ben!

I’d be happy to accomodate some questions about solo play, although I play it myself I had some trouble coming up with meaningful questions. Maybe you’d be able to help me out on this?

I play solo, usually using 6mm models on detailed 3d hexagon tiled terrain. I have developed rules for units like armoured cars and carrier platoons based on aspects of similar units.

Had only played the game a couple of times about 2 years ago when active with a local board game group. I loved the game but held off buying as it was 2 player and most of my games are played with 4-6 of us. However I kept thinking about it and told my best friend and asked for it for my birthday last October. She duly bought it me - that’s what friends are for.
Main main reason was I’d started to get in painting miniatures, mainly because of lock down, and found I really enjoyed it. So having painted the minis in Fire and Axe a Viking Saga I needed something else to keep me going during those long winter months.
Loved painting everything and then started to play the game. Really brought it to life for me.
Since then I’ve researched extra 1/72 troops to make the scenarios more authentic and found the brilliant plasticsoldierreview website.
I’ve now got British Paratroops, British Infantry, German Panzergrenadiers all Caesar Miniatures, and German Late War Heavy Weapons from PSC. Have started to paint these and base them and am really enjoying the whole thing.
Would be interesting to know what others do for additional troops/vehicles if not using Army Packs.
Maybe a survey of that?
